In case, if anything happens to your device while flashing Custom ROM, backup of Stock ROM serves as a contingency plan. The Backup can be used to recover damaged device via Odin. (How to recover via Odin)
It can also be used to return to the Original State if ever you wish to revert back.
1. Boot into CWM by Flashing CWM again. (How to CWM flash)
2. Go to Backup/Restore
3. Select Backup Current ROM. It will take a while and then it’s Done! The size of the Backup File depends upon the number of apps installed. Generally should be around 200-400 MB.
